The food I have missed since moving to the USA surprises me. I consider myself a somewhat-healthy-eater. I do indulge on the weekend, but overall – I never used to eat much of these foods in my 30s back in Oz. I was inspired to try making sausage rolls after trying some bought at a local New Zealand pie shop (close enough, right!??). This recipe is simply awesome, you’ll have leftovers to freeze later too.

TIP: Sprinkle some sesame seeds on those bad boys… not in the recipe.

TIP: If you freeze the leftover uncooked ones, thaw out completely before cooking. Otherwise the extra moisture when cooking from frozen will cause pastry to burst open! Still tasty but not as crispy.
